Only a very few of the original cedars from the Hall grounds remain in Cedar Grove. (These are Cedars of Lebanon.) There is also one tall Wellingtonia, a Californian redwood. The other Wellingtonia in the village, on Rectory Lane, was struck by lightning some years ago and had to be cut off at around house-height, although it has since begun to rejuvenate. |
